What was your experience of the in-class writing assignment?

Post a comment about what was challenging about today's in-class writing. What did you struggle with? What about writing in-class is difficult? If you found it easy, explain what you do that helps you when you write.

YAA FIRST POST AGAIN!!!!!!!

What I found difficult about writing today was finding an idea and keeping on topic. I think I would’ve done better if I had some sort of review about essays lol. There were a few things I found a bit hard, like thinking of a good thesis, thinking of ideas to write about but the hardest thing by far is finding an idea and keeping on topic and thinking of new things to write instead of repeating myself.

What I found difficult about writing is that I had a hard time with keeping my ideas straight...I kept getting lost in them and losing so many others. I think if a wrote my ideas out i would have done much better

What I found difficult about writing the essay was that I though that they're where to many ideas to use, which made it hard to keep the essay from going off topic or talking about to many things. It was also hard to write a good thesis to connect all the ideas together.

What I found difficult about the writing in class was staying focussed and on track. It's hard to write an essay when there are people talking and so many noisy distractions. When I do writing assignments at home, I like to find quiet places to work so that I can focus simply on my ideas and the task at hand. Also, having a time limit always adds pressure. Knowing that you have to write the whole essay in only a certain amount of time is a challenge. However once I was able to get over the panic of a time frame and start writing, my ideas kept coming and it went well.

What I found difficult about writing the writing was to find a thesis statement and to stay focused on the topic. It wasn't very difficult because we talked about it a lot in class.

I found that the in-class writing was a bit difficult because it was hard to really think about what i was going to start off with writing about, thinking of ideas, and that we didn't have a really really long time to write 400-500 words. I think if i had a little bit longer to write i would have been able to finish it and have a lot more ideas.

What I found difficult about this assignment was trying to get started. It took me a while to get some good first sentences to keep the rest of the writing together. It was also somewhat distracting having people talking around me. I usually do my best writing at home where it is quiet and I can concentrate. Other than that it went pretty well because I had alot of ideas from the in-class discussions.

I had a lot of ideas about the topic but i had trouble focussing my ideas and keeping them all organized. I think faster then i write so it was hard to organize my writing.

What i found difficult about writing was staying focus. Part of the distraction was from the french class next door. It took me a long time to start the essay and to keep the essay on topic.

I found it very difficult to answer the questions because there wasn't really an answer and i really struggled with starting the essay ><. I find writing in class difficult cause of the pressure of others with you and i just prefer to write alone!

From my experience, I know that the classroom environment isn't always the most preferable one to be writing in, especially when you have a time limit. So I found myself hitting a mental brick wall every 5 minutes or so.. And I ended up not finishing because I like to take my time and listen to music while I'm writing.

Writing without an outline I find is less stressful. You get too caught up with your thesis and topics that you are trying to force out your evidence and to ramble, when all you need to do is write about your opinion and to write what you know. Don't force yourself to do something you feel uncomfortable about.
